Raised: Celebrating Easter in Karis Church

Easter-Thumbnail.jpg

Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. -- I Corinthians 15:1-3 Around the world, Christians celebrate the risen Lord during Easter. We join with them in Columbia, Missouri, reflecting on His suffering on the cross, through His death and burial, and marveling at His glory, when He was raised on the third day.

You are invited to worship the risen Savior with us this Easter during the following events.

Easterlst

Sunday, April 20, 2014, 11:00ish a.m. 606 Ridgeway

We will raise our voices in songs of worship around the resurrected Jesus, hear the gospel preached, and rejoice in our changed lives because of the gift of grace offered to all of us.

If the Lord wills, we will have baptisms on Easter Sunday, where believers publicly proclaim their desire to follow their Savior with every area of their lives. As a person is lowered under the water and raised back up again, they symbolize the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. If you would like to find out more about being baptized, contact Jake Gonzales.

After the Easter Gathering, everyone is invited to meet together for celebration lunches hosted by our 11 Missional Communities in locations throughout the city. Stop by the Connecting Table any Sunday morning to find out how you can connect with an MC.
