My World of Sports: 10.05.12

Hope you're all having a great week. We're heading to the meat of the college football schedule. Basketball is just around the corner. The NFL is already over, as far as I'm concerned. Here are some thoughts heading into the weekend:

  • DGB! C'mon, man! I should have taken it easier on those Bulldogs. We all fall short of God's glory (Rom. 3:23).
  • This is a big game Saturday with Vandy coming into town on Saturday. If we don't win these, we don't deserve to go to a bowl.
  • Did you know that this time last year, Mizzou had a worse record (2-3) with an easier schedule? Let's keep it in perspective, ya'll. The sky is not falling.
  • It's almost hoops time. "Mizzou Madness" is next Friday. The Sporting News talks here about the way the Tigers have reloaded this year. ESPN's Andy Katz talks about it here, also.
  • It's a perfect time for some Kansas bloopers. Charlie whines. Charlie shines.
