IMAGOarts: "Going Public"

IMAGOarts of Karis was featured in the Columbia Tribune. Click here to read more. Columbia’s downtown area, The District, held Artrageous Friday on July 20. IMAGOarts of Karis had planned a street art display as part of Artrageous’ efforts to encourage Guerilla Art for the events.  Our installment was called  A CHAIN OF EVENTS using large paper chains:

“Every life, whether we are conscious of it or not, is made up of events. Some are built upon the ones before. Some are so incredibly random.  Some come to be through careful decision-making. Some are decided for us.  Some we waited for years to experience.  Some we wonder why we ever had to go through." Each link of the chain gave a person the opportunity to identify an event in their life that had shaped them.

The Chain was put together prior to the event, but there was an interactive aspect that allowed passers-by to link their own event to the chain.
