"Crazy Love" by Francis Chan
I just finished the short book Crazy Love by Francis Chan, a well-known conference speaker, who particularly is speaking to a lot of students today. I really enjoyed and was challenged by the book. Two things stood out for me: first, his section on lukewarm Christians, in which he pretty accurately describes the American church and challenges readers to read the Bible as the radical book it truly is, and second, his profile of the "obsessed," where he describes what people who delight in Jesus truly look like. This isn't the best book written this year. It won't likely go down in history as a classic. But people need to hear what he has to say. I will probably try to re-read it. I really appreciate Chan's heart and hope to read more books by him in the future.
