The Joy of the Lord

Today and tomorrow I have written down in my calendar as retreat days.  I'm doing this once a month during the summer.  Unfortunately, I can't leave town as I originally planned, but I'm hiding out in an undesignated place in Columbia.  :) On my last retreat, I followed C.J. Mahaney's advice from his talk at The Resurgence conference and looked up all the passages in the Bible that speak of gratitude and prayed over them.  Today, I'm following his advice from his Together for the Gospel sermon.  I'm looking up all the passages related to joy.  Please pray that this would be fruitful for me.  The last study certainly was.  I must say that C.J. Mahaney speaks directly to my heart as a pastor more than anyone else out there.  I'd encourage you to listen to both of those messages.
