Celebrate this Season of Giving with our friends at City of Refuge!
During the Christmas season, we will be partnering with City of Refuge as they seek to "Remember the Refugees" through their Season of Giving Care Kits! Your generosity will help local refugee families worry less about the day-to-day things they need and let them focus more on the bigger challenges like finding a job, learning English, and settling into a new life.
Pick the Care Kit that you'd like to build from our Christmas tree in the foyer, purchase some of the suggested kit items, and drop off your kit during a Sunday Gathering! You can even join up with your MC, DNA Group, or your family and build a kit together. Follow the steps below to participate. You can find full details on what to include in each kit and suggested spending on the City of Refuge website.
How to Build a Kit:
1. Choose a kit from the list below.
2. Buy NEW items from the suggested list.
3. Pack all the supplies in a plastic storage container.
4. Drop the kit off in the foyer during a Sunday Gathering (by Dec. 11th!)
Care Kit Options:
The suggested list is just suggestions - you do not need to buy every item on the list and the suggested donation is optional!
All Care Kits must be dropped off in the Karis Church foyer by December 11th. Thanks for loving our refugee neighbors this holiday season!
*If you drop off a kit with fresh or perishable food inside, please email info@karischurch.org to let us know, so we can deliver immediately OR deliver directly to City of Refuge.
