Karis Church is Moving!
-Philippians 4:19-20
Over the 12 years that Karis Church has existed, God has been faithful to grow our congregation. What started as a small group of believers meeting in our lead pastor’s home has blossomed into a church of nearly 300 men, women and children. While we are amazed and grateful for the growth, our current building on West Worley is now too small for our church family. Believing that God is able to provide our every need, Karis Church elders have been prayerfully exploring options for our congregation.
We are delighted to announce that Karis Church has found a new home on 606 Ridgeway Avenue. This building is an incredible answer to prayer and evidence of the Lord’s provision in our lives. Our elders have officially closed on the new building, which is just down the road from where we currently meet on Sundays, and we will have our first Sunday Gathering at 606 Ridgeway Avenue on November 4th at 10 a.m.
What do I need to know about this move?
New Address Karis Church currently meets on Sundays at 1703 West Worley Street. We will have our last Sunday Gatherings at this location on October 21st and 28th. Our new meeting address (which is also our new mailing address) is 606 Ridgeway Avenue, a short drive from our current building.
New Meeting Time Because our new Gathering space is so much larger than our current building, Karis Church is able to go back to one Sunday Gathering at 10 a.m. rather than two Gatherings at 9 and 11 a.m. We hope that this change in meeting time will alleviate some of our serving teams who have been working hard to staff all volunteer positions through two Gatherings.
New Volunteer Needs We are loading up the moving trucks on November 1st. We are providing pizza and drinks for anyone who assists with the moving process. Are you willing to unload some furniture and moving boxes? Then sign up to volunteer here!
Additional Details We understand that this news is sudden and has many moving parts to pull off. Church staff members have scheduled an informational meeting on Sunday, October 28th to give our congregation and guests a better idea of what to expect before, during and after our move. This meeting will take place at our new building immediately after the second Gathering. There will be a catered lunch and guided tours through our new building, as well as a chance to ask any questions you may have. Please sign up if you would like to attend this meeting.
We also recommend that you take a few minutes to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We will be sharing various pictures, updates and pieces of information on social media and our website over the next few weeks. Following us on social media is the easiest way to stay up-to-date with moving news.
Will you join us in praising God for His provision and graciousness towards our church?
