Special Update: Post-Pandemic Church Life
In light of recent updates from our local health department and the CDC, we believe the time has come to take the next step towards post-pandemic church life.
Beginning Sunday, June 6th, we will no longer require social distancing and mask-wearing in the building. However,
For those not yet vaccinated, we strongly encourage you to continue wearing a mask.
Karis Kids volunteers will be required to wear a mask while in their classroom.
Balcony seating will be reserved for those who would like to continue to social distance.
This also means we will return to one Sunday Gathering at 10am starting June 6th. Also starting that day, we will no longer require registration to attend a Sunday Gathering.
As we move forward with these changes, we ask that you honor each other with your love and your patience as we give one another time these next few weeks to prepare for this transition. Until June 6th, continue to wear a mask at all times when not in your seat and continue to sit six feet from other households. As we experience a range of emotions and responses to these changes, let’s keep from alienating or stigmatizing those who hold different views or who might have been impacted differently by the pandemic.
There is a closeness that is coming, one that is needed, and one that is now, by God’s grace, safe. Take the next few days and weeks to prepare yourself as we reconnect more deeply with one another, as God’s people. He is calling us home, and everyone is welcome.
