Hope for the Journey Conference

Safe Families for Children is excited to partner with Coyote Hill and several other local organizations to host the Hope for the Journey simulcast on Friday, April 9th, from 8am - 5pm! This event was previously known as Empowered to Connect Conference. This all-day event is focused on shepherding parents, caregivers, teachers, and anyone serving children from hard places to a deeper understanding of their children's needs.

This event will feature Associate Director of Training and Consultation Services with the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, Daren Jones, Training Specialist and foster parent Amanda Purvis, among other presenters who live the foster and adoptive world and utilize TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention) in their day-to-day life. We will hear life stories and tools of how to serve and understand our children's needs.

The event is in person, but a limited number of virtual links are available as well. All participants, both in-person and virtual, will receive workbooks, goodie bags, and entry into giveaways. For participants in person on April 9th, light breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided. Virtual links are accessible from April 9 - May 31st, each link can only be watched once. Virtual links would be a great way to connect friends or coworkers to the tools through TBRI.
