Reproduction-motivated
A vision for God’s kingdom seen in the multiplication of God-centered churches
Karis seeks to avoid two unhealthy extremes—growing stagnant and unconcerned with
growth and growing too large for the church to remain an intimate community. We
seek to attack this by planting churches with church planting in their “DNA.” Karis
was “born pregnant,” and we look forward to the day when we can give birth to another
church that can impact another section of columbia or beyond. The “Karis institute”
will function to train church planters to take on those new churches. Karis will
be reproduction- motivated and not maintenance-motivated. Our desire is not simply
to grow, but to grow healthily, and that certainly involves planting more churches.
