As a body of believers, we’re called to be a proclaiming community. We’re called to be witnesses who go and make disciples. But we’re also called to be a praying community. Only the Lord can rescue sinners. He did that for us. We want to ask Him to do it for others. Karis’s By Name initiative will challenge us to pray and act, expecting God to do great things. By Name kicks off this Sunday, January 27, 2013.

Here’s the plan:
1. As a church, we will be praying for friends and acquaintances by name. Each person is asked to commit to pray for at least one person every day for seven weeks, asking God to rescue him or her from sin to salvation in Christ.
2. Throughout the next seven weeks, look for ways to connect and share with that person. Intentionally make an effort to build relationships and share the gospel with them.

Will you begin praying today for God to do an amazing work through By Name? We look forward to hearing and seeing how God will answer the prayers of his people!
